The Forrestdale Community Kindergarten is a highly respected part of the local community and has provided a quality early childhood education program for many children since 1974.

The kindergarten has an excellent reputation as being a very and warm inclusive environment in which a very high standard of teaching and learning practice is demonstrated. The centre is so well regarded that some parents who attended as children are now choosing to send their own pre-school children to the centre.

The kindergarten provides a very happy and fun filled environment where children can engage in many age appropriate activity centres to stimulate their minds and to help them to be active participants in their individual learning journeys.

Both the Teaching Staff and Parent Committee are committed to providing quality education and care for your child’s first year of schooling in a welcoming environment that supports children’s learning and is responsive to the interests and abilities of each child. Children are able to explore the environment and to satisfy their natural desire to understand their world. The staff has a holistic approach to children’s personal, physical, social emotional and cognitive aspects of learning.

As a community based association we recognise the valuable role families and the wider community play in children’s education and care.

We foster a warm, positive atmosphere in our centre and allow children time to interact with their peers and adults in a happy, relaxed yet purposeful environment.
